‘Tis the Season for….?

How we finish this sentence with out words, and how we finish it with our actions may, in fact, be quite contradictory.  Considering that Americans alone spend millions of dollars on stuff a mere hours after sitting around with family “giving thanks” for everything they already have.

Small business Saturday. Cyber Monday. It’s all about the deals.  The stuff you can get that you don’t already have (even if you do have the previous, just-slightly-less-advanced version).

Well, in the last couple years, groups across the country have begun my favorite of non-holiday days.  It’s called #GIVINGTUESDAY, and in my opinion, it’s what this season is REALLY  about.  I encourage each of you to search out a charity. Whether it be an organization you have supported for years, or one you just heard about, find a group that supports your passion.  I would go even farther and suggest doing a little research.  Find out just what your choice charity is all about, really find out where your money is going.  Organizations like Salvation Army make millions of dollars this time of year, so maybe pick an organization that is small, local, or underserved in some way…you’ll be glad you did.

Have a Blessed day!
