We here at KyTy Kittens have the opportunity to interact with a lot of moms.
global $picID, $picCaption, $picTitle, $picAlign, $picUrl, $picSize, $picMaxW, $picAlt, $picAdj, $picLightBox; $picID=”1164″; $picUrl=”http://kytykittens.com/wp-content/uploads/913997_518210501576843_734935932_o.jpg”; $picAlt=”913997_518210501576843_734935932_o”; $picCaption=””; $picTitle=””; $picAlign=”left”; $picSize=”medium”; $picMaxW=”0″; $picAdj=”0″; $picLightBox=”false”; autoWrapImg();
There are, obviously, our cat moms…the whole reason we are able to provide the best sphynx, bambino, and dwelf kittens anywhere around. Our cat moms are fantastic! Loving, devoted, careful, and beautiful…but who wouldn’t describe their mother that way on “her day”, right? Cat-Motherhood is rough, and there’s no better proof of that than seeing a nursing mother’s poor nipples after her litter of five is done with breakfast. LOL! Of course there are fun parts: the snuggling and the moment when you are able to send them out of the nestbox to play for the first time. 😉 But there are also the tough parts: like having to teach them how to use the litterbox; lining up all the kittens and “meowing” the instructions while demonstrating proper technique. It’s actually one of the cutest things I have ever seen, and one of these days I hope to sneak a video of this type of training. We salute our cat moms, and hope that we do half as excellent a job taking care of them, as they do taking care of their little ones.
Secondly, are all the moms that take over the job when the kittens are old enough to head off to their forever homes. Many of them are already moms; to other animals, humans, or both! Some of them are first-time moms, and they often have the exact same level of excitement and trepidation you’d see in a woman about to leave the hospital with her own son or daughter. These moms have made the great decision to choose to bring an amazing animal into their home, and give him or her the most amazing life they can. And I have no doubt in my mind that the KyTy moms are some of the best pet owners in the world (I have seen some of the hauls our kittens have gone home with…can you say “SPOILED”? LOL).
And of course, most importantly, are our HUMAN mothers. Both of us humans here at KyTy Kittens have had the amazing privilege of growing up in homes teeming with life and love, in large part due to our beautiful and generous mothers. Two women who, for our entire lives and to this day, are always willing to extend a helping hand when needed. We would not have become the men we are today, with the passion and drive (that some might say borders on insanity) we have to carry on.
global $picID, $picCaption, $picTitle, $picAlign, $picUrl, $picSize, $picMaxW, $picAlt, $picAdj, $picLightBox; $picID=”1163″; $picUrl=”http://kytykittens.com/wp-content/uploads/moms.jpg”; $picAlt=”moms”; $picCaption=””; $picTitle=””; $picAlign=”right”; $picSize=”medium”; $picMaxW=”0″; $picAdj=”0″; $picLightBox=”false”; autoWrapImg();
Through the setbacks and triumphs, the sun and the rain, you ladies have shown us that no matter what, we are capable of greatness. We can’t thank you enough for all the sacrifices that you have made in your own lives to provide us with everything we needed. As we have branched off into our own life, there have of course been times when we haven’t seen eye-to-eye (and I’m pretty certain that is one thing that isn’t about to change), but through it all, you have loved us with your whole selves…because you are mothers, and that’s what mothers do! We love you.
So to all the mothers out there, of kittens and humans alike, we want to wish you an amazing Mother’s Day. Cheers!
