Happy Sunday to all!

As I sit here on my couch and feel the cool, crisp autumn air blow in the open window, and drink my cup of Roasterie coffee, I am prone to reflection.  The last few months have brought so much change, and I can’t believe that this is my life.

I have a wonderful family (albeit spread across the country, and now the world) that applauds our success and weeps with our failures, and prays for our future. Whether we see eye to eye, I can honestly say, I love them each dearly.

I’m surrounded by the best cats anyone could hope for: beautiful, affectionate, personable. They have a way of lifting my spirits, even in the darkest of hours. This is far from a sales pitch. I just want to brag on my children. Haha! They are gorgeous, intelligent, and well mannered (most of the time). But even in the rare moments of inappropriate behavior, no matter what kind of mischief they find for themselves, all they have to do is climb stealthily into my lap, nuzzle my beard, and look into my eyes, and they are forgiven. And they know it. 😉

And most importantly, the dreamer behind this crazy adventure that is KyTy Kittens. A man who wants everything, and settles for nothing less than perfection. While setting out on a path that most (myself included, honestly) thought unwise or, at times, even impossible, he never lost focus of his desires and ambitions. I am lucky to have such a talented, gifted, and blessed man in my life. He gave me a reason to strive for greater, a goal to work harder toward, and a love to cherish forever.

I encourage each and every person who stumbles upon this crazy rambling to look into your life and see, not only the struggles and hardship that you face (for there is negativity in every path of life) but also the glue that holds it together. See the love in your life. Because I truly believe that no matter who you are, where you find yourself, or what your future holds, there IS love to be found. As I look down into my sweet Adolph’s big blue eyes, I’m reminded of one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite silly Rom-Coms:

“Love, Actually, IS all around.” (Read it in Hugh Grant’s voice, it’s even better ;))

Have a great Sunday. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend, and may the upcoming week be more than you could hope for. 🙂
